In the 1920s, when pilots started crossing the Channel frequently, it became apparent that although only a few kilometres had to be flown, the time difference between the Grande Nation and the Empire would become a problem. The solution was a watch with two independent automatic movements, one for each time zone. Both can be admired through the glass base. The stainless steel casing has a diameter of 40mm and a height of 13mm; the black leather strap has a buckle fastening. Two complete numerical dials are sunk into the silvery dial, one with Roman numerals and one with Arabic. The watch is water-tight to 5 atm (50m).
